CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

CPC Executives Inspect Oil Pipeline Facilities in Astrakhan Oblast, Republic of Kalmykia and Stavropol Krai

2.jpgOn 28-29 April 2025, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and representatives of the Operations and Construction Projects Execution Departments made a working visit to Kropotkinskaya PS, PS-5, PS-7, PS-8 and CPC Marine Terminal in the Krasnodar Krai. CPC General Director examined the PS equipment, conducted unscheduled readiness checks of personnel and contractors at the facility sites and crude oil mainline. So, at Kropotkinskaya PS, an unscheduled fire drill was staged. At the mainline, the manpower and resources of the operation personnel and contractors were checked for oil spill response readiness. At the CPC Marine Terminal, a storage tank firefighting drill was conducted. 
At all facilities, the executives inspected operation of the equipment on the process sites, administrative buildings, workshops, fire stations and warehouses. 
1.jpgAt Kropotkinskaya PS, the CPC biggest oil pump station with a total area of 16.5 ha, the executives inspected the facilities being restored after the Ukrainian drone strike and held a meeting with the engaged contractors. The dates of putting the facility into operation remain within the timeframe announced earlier by CPC. 
In 2024 at the PS, dismantling of coating and painting of the process pipelines were performed. Repair was completed of the diking around two SVFRT-20000 tanks. In 2025 at Kropotkinskaya PS, overhaul of the turbine units will be carried out with replacement of gas turbines on three mainline pumps.
At PS-5 in 2025, variable frequency drives for electric motors of mainline pumps and an additional surge relief system tank will be put into operation. In February 2025, new rotors with bigger-radius impellers were installed on the mainline pumps. 
3.jpgAt PS-7 last year, the premises of the fire pump station and materials warehouse were repaired. This year, work will continue on dismantling the heat insulation coating of the process pipelines. 
At the CPC Marine Terminal, discussions were held on remediation of the deficiencies revealed by the recent Rostransnadzor audit, preparation for a future complete replacement of the single point moorings (SPM), delivery dates of new caisson anchors and chains for them, as well as seasonal decommissioning of the operating SPM for repair, including replacement of the floating and subsea hoses, maintenance and repair of the SPM internal equipment. 
In the course of the site visits, the issues were also reviewed regarding future replacement of the foreign-make equipment that was still in operation at the CPC facilities, including control cabinets, turbines, pumps etc. 
10.jpgThere were separate direct-dialogue and remote discussions with the facility management on the protection of the process sites against various threats, including terrorist attacks, as well as strengthening of such interaction with the law enforcement authorities and RF Ministry of Defense.
The Safe Work Culture level in the Company continues to rise dynamically and the leadership practices are developing. Within the framework of practical training and mentorship in the leadership practices application, more than 1.2 thousand employees have undergone training. The medium- and high-level managers undertook 119 Safe Work Culture personal commitments, which were 99% fulfilled in 2024.
Upon the results of the CPC Western Region visit, it was noted that the territories of the facilities and all equipment were in proper condition, the CPC employees and contractors demonstrated a responsible attitude towards the fulfilment of the set tasks and a high professional level.
