N.N. Gorban, CPC General Director, made a presentation on the company's social activities under a charity policy adopted by the Consortium. When selecting charity projects, CPC exercises the same management discipline as in its other investment decisions.
- After projects are completed, an internal audit is conducted. The consistency of the deliverables with the original objectives is assessed several years after, explained N.N. Gorban. - The audit helps understand how justified the selection was and take that experience into account in future work.
CPC-R allocated about RUR 3.8 billion to charity assistance in 2020-2025. 33% out of that was allocated to healthcare, 18% to education, 17% to culture. During that period, the company purchased 174 ambulances and other medical vehicles, 6 mobile diagnostic centers, more than 150 ALV and sonogram units, as well as other equipment.
- Human heath and condition depends on the quality of medical care our employee and their family members can received at the place of their residence. That is why health care holds a significant place in our social work, the CPC General commented Director on the figures voiced.
Under education and family support projects, CPC has purchased 282 school buses and almost 135 thousand first-grader kits. 6 schools, 7 kindergartens, 3 community & children creativity centers have been build or refurbished.
- Each such decision is a response to daily needs of families, N.N. Gorban pointed out. - In steppe regions, the distance between home and school is often itself a difficulty. It is also important for parents to give their children an opportunity to show themselves in creativity, developing talents, gaining recognition.
For almost 30 years now, CPC has been organizing a festival called “CPC for Talented Children”. About 100 thousand children have taken part in it just in the 5 past years. Many CPC for Talented Children prize-holders and winners went on to chose the creative career as their path of life.
- The company’s responsible attitude to people also shapes the employees’ responsibility for their work. Socially-oriented technologies is a complex set of decisions combining common national development strategies, regional development objectives, specific human requirements, and business needs and capabilities, stressed N.N. Gorban.
