The second round of “CPC to Talented Children”, the children and youth creativity competition, was held in Krasnodar Krai on September 8, 2018. The final gala concert held in the Krasnodar Krai Philharmonic Hall named after G. Ponomarenko was attended by Igor Storozhenko, CPC-R General Manager, Public and Authorities Relations, Anna Minkova, Krasnodar Krai Deputy Governor, and other officials.
“Kuban has always been famous for its talents, many creative teams and performers of the region received world recognition. No doubt that many years of great work and complete dedication are fundamental for their success. But the support gained at the very start of their creative path also plays an important role. Therefore, festivals assisting children to revel their talents are extremely important. I express my deep gratitude to CPC for the opportunity granted to children to show what they can do and to acquire new skills at workshops with will-known teachers,” stressed Anna Minkova, Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Krai.
For three days the winners of the regional round attended the workshops led by famous art community members, Honored Artists of Russia and laureates of various international competitions.
Leonid Lundstrem, Senior Lecturer, Chair of Bowed String Instruments, Moscow State Institute of Music named after A. Shnitke, Maria Voskresenksaya, Piano Teacher, Chair of Orchestral Folk Instruments, State Institute of Musical Teachers named after M. Ippolitov-Ivanov, Aneta Nikolaeva, Associated Professor, Conducting Chair, Saratov State Conservatory named after L. Sobinov, and Sergei Pogorelov, Kuban Honored Worker of Culture, shared their know-how with young talents.
In the course of the ceremony, commemorative diplomas and awards were granted to the distinguished participants and laureates of the competition. The winners in their nominations, participants of the first and second rounds of CPC to Talented Children competition received the certificates for a trip to Moscow to attend the workshops for the laureates and the gala concert on October 26-30, 2018.
The festival "CPC to Talented Children", which was launched almost two decades ago, is intended to promote and maintain folk traditions and culture, it gives the chance to young talents to reveal themselves and to acquire new skills during master classes with well-known teachers. Each year the festival discovers bright new “stars”, who will further represent appropriately their region at All-Russia's and international creativity competitions.
