On September 6, 2021, the Russian Labor Safety Week (RLSW) started its work in Sochi. The RF Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is the Week’s sponsor. Sirius Science and Arts Park is the traditional venue for this event.
The RLSW exhibition demonstrates new Russian developments in occupational health, industrial and environmental safety and international tools of safe work to achieve zero injuries and accident-free operation. Business program is targeted to share experience and discuss HSE management systems in all sectors of the economy and to expand international cooperation.
Caspian Pipeline Consortium has been a permanent RLSW participant since 2015. This year, the CPC stand has an area of 60 square meters and provides most recent updates on the company's HSE performance. On September 6, during the plenary session attended by RF Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, CPC General Director Nikolai Gorban made a presentation titled "Innovative company's solutions in the context of recent challenges to preserve the health of workers".
In his speech, CPC CEO said, in particular, the following: “In 2018, the Consortium set a strategic target to achieve a zero injury rate and joined the international Vision Zero program, and, today we may talk about certain accomplishments - based on the results of 2019, 2020 and the first half of 2021, we have zero injuries and motor vehicle accidents. All in all, CPC reached 35 million man-hours and 97 million km driven without injuries and MVAs in 2021, respectively. This has been accomplished thanks to introduction of a comprehensive program of Safe Work Culture, where we have defined and combined all of CPC Life Saving Rules”.
