On 14 July 2022, in the course of a working trip to the industrial facilities
of the CPC Central Region, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban, senior managers
and specialists for operation and execution of construction projects visited
the pump stations – А-PS-4А and Astrakhanskaya PS.The executives inspected the station equipment, checked readiness of the personnel
and contractors for potential emergencies and supervised the work progress at
the PSs under the Debottlenecking Program (DBNP) started in 2019. By the end of
2022, DBNP will make it possible to optimize the transportation process and
obtain extra capacity for pumping oil from the oil fields.
At А-PS-4А, the CPC management checked readiness of the
mainline pump with the gas turbine newly installed on the foundations, as well
as process piping and pipelines of support systems.
At Astrakhanskaya PS under DBNP, almost 90% of the industrial zone is
being renovated. The builders reported that the new buildings of the indoor switchgear
and package transformer substation would be ready for voltage supply in the
nearest future to be followed by a stage-wise startup and commissioning of the
new equipment. The shelters of the installed variable frequency drives are also
completely ready for startup and commissioning.
Besides, the company executives examined the newly built mainline pump
house, where installation was underway of utility lines, fire and gas detection
systems and process pipelines of support systems for the mainline pumps.
One of the key issues discussed at the meeting with the CR specialists and
operation personnel was further improvement of Safe Work Culture. Currently, leader
specialists have been selected among the CPC employees and main contractors and
undergo training in the present-day effective leadership practices.
Also, the necessity was highlighted to employ all resources for the
soonest remediation of the deficiencies revealed by the supervisory authorities
in the course of the recent audit.

pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan
export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the
Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point
