CPC acts to prevent floods in Atyrau Region

CPC-R and contractor divisions are taking part in flood prevention activities in Atyrau Region. Special Operations Center created by Akim of the region requested the Consortium’s team to provide help in the repair of the existing 6km earth mound in the vicinity of Atyrau-Uralsk road and Bugorki dacha settlement.
12 damaged locations of the earth mound were successfully repaired recently.  Two stationary road crossings were provided on the mound and a stock of soil was created for the crosssings to be promptly fenced if necessary. The existing earth mound was reinforced in order to protect the shore line of the river, and an additional lengthy section of the earth mound was created from the main line towards Bugarki settlement.
On April 7, CPC-K and contractor divisions commenced the next task: create new 6.5km long protective structures on the shoreline of Ural river. With tight timelines and limited vehicles access that does not allow for the work to be done simultaneously along the whole line, considerable volumes of soil are to be delivered. The operation currently involves 11 machinery items, of which there are 3 wheeled diggers and 4 dump trucks. A team of 20 workers uses special sacks to strengthen the earth mound from being washed away by Ural river.
