CPC Participated in the 22nd IAOT Governing Board Session in Almaty

МАТН 5.jpgThe 22nd Session of the Governing Board with the Meeting authorities of the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT) was held in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) on 20 June 2024. CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban participated in the function. As a reminder: at the previous, 21st IAOT session held in April 2024 in Serbia, CPC became the full member of the organization.

The 2023 financial and audit reports, the progress of this year budget performance and the performance results of standing expert groups (SEG) were discussed at the 22nd IAOT Governing Board Session. In particular, the Association members approved creation of a new SEG - an expert group on risk management.

The IAOT was established in 2013 as an international non-profit, non-governmental organization. The IAOT’s key tasks include comprehensive assistance in supporting continuous deliveries of oil and petroleum products to the world energy markets and in developing interrelationship among the Association participants at a national, regional and international level.

There are four standing expert groups (SEG) within the IAOT: Standing expert group on energy efficiency; Standing expert group on legal matters; Standing expert group on deliveries and Standing expert group "Efficient, Reliable and Safe Operation of Trunk Pipeline Systems".МАТН 1.jpg

For eight years CPC-R was a member of this organization in the status of an observer. The Consortium’s representatives participated in the sessions of the Association Governing Board and Standing expert group (SEG) on energy efficiency. In January 2024, CPC-R Shareholders approved a corporate resolution to increase the Company's level of participation in the IAOT.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
