On 5 July
2024, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and the lead managers and specialists
of the Consortium’s operation and construction project implementation visited
the Marine Terminal in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka as part of their working visit to the
operation facilities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
The MT loaded
63.5 MTA in 2023. Despite the increase of the transshipment volumes the amount
of atmospheric emissions was reduced by 5.5%. In spring 2024, CPC Marine
Terminal lifted the 900-millionth ton of oil.
The 2024
important tasks include in-line diagnostics of the subsea pipeline to SPM-1.
Also, 107 hoses in total will be replaced at three single point moorings.
Stages three
and four of the Debottlenecking Program are currently being implemented at the
Marine Terminal Shore Facilities. As part of Stage three, the old lease
automatic custody transfer (LACT) is being dismantled. Stage four includes an
upgrade of pressure control stations (PCS) and pressure relief stations (PRS)
with installation of a third PCS and a third PRS. This technical solution gives
an opportunity of sending oil to be loaded on a tanker via any new LACT meter through
any loading line and will allow, if necessary, to load three tankers
simultaneously.

For information:
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major
investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The
length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports
over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil
fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped
with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a
significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
