Third Stage of CPC to Talented Children 2023 Contest Completed in Kalmykia

20240924.jpgThe third in-person regional stage of the International Children's and Youth Art Contest “CPC to Talented Children” ended on 23 September 2024 in the Republic of Kalmykia.

On this day, a large-scale gala concert attended by Igor Storozhenko, General Manager, Public and Authorities Relations, CPC-R, and Gilyana Boshomdzhieva, Chairperson of the Government of Kalmykia, was held at the Kalmyk State Philharmonic named after A. Mandzhieva in Elista. CPC’s and the Region’s representatives awarded the winners, Grand Prix winners and winners of special prizes of the third regional stage, as well as announced the participants of the forthcoming International Unifying Cultural Forum “Moscow Meets Friends”.

On the eve of the gala concert, the contest’s experts conducted creative master classes on September 20-22. Sergey Pereverzev, singer, actor, TV presenter, deputy chairman of the Union of Music, Film and Television Artists; Diana Degtyareva, artistic director of the Vishnevskaya Senior Choir; Maria Evseeva, head of the Musical Theater Department at the Nadezda State Academic School (Moscow); Valeria Kuznetsova, teacher and artist of the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra; Asya Selutina, associate professor of the Symphony Conducting and String Instruments Department of the Kosygin Russian State University; Maria Safonova, ballet dancer and teacher at the Zvezda Dance Studio, shared their professional secrets with the young talents. The educational program also included workshops on professional development of supplementary education teachers.

The children's and youth's creativity contest "CPC to Talented Children" has been held for more than 25 years. It was launched by CPC-R as part of the charity program to support children’s artwork. Having started as a local festival, the CPC to Talented Children contest has become a cross-national and international event uniting regions and countries, contributing to the preservation of folk customs and motivating the young generation to develop and fulfill their creative abilities. Over 20,000 young talents participated in the project in 2024.
