CPC Dispatched Vehicles and Personnel to Respond to an Emergency in Anapa

IMG-20241218-WA0003.jpgCaspian Pipeline Consortium takes part in response operations after Volgoneft-212 and Volgoneft-239 tankers wrecked in the Kerch Strait, causing a spill of petroleum products. 
Following the wreck and a sea storm, the shore near Anapa city was contaminated with fuel oil. The city declared emergency. To assist in handling the consequences, starting December 17, CPC provided to the Emercom operations center three dump truck, an excavator, two buses and 28 specialists.  Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director was on a business visit to Krasnodar Krai, and was personally involved in the start of the cleanup initiative. 
A meeting headed by Sergey Shtrikov, Krasnodar Krai Minister for CD and ER was held on December 18, resulting in allocation of the available personnel and resources along the contaminated sections of the shore.  CPC personnel and vehicles were dispatched to a section adjacent to Blagoveschenskaya beach. Contaminated soil is being collected manually for further disposal as per established procedures.IMG-20241218-WA0002.jpg

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region.
