Working Meeting of CPC and KTO Heads

CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and KazTransOil General Director (Chairman of the Board) Arman Kasenov conducted a working meeting on March 17, 2025 in Astana.
Company Heads discussed interfaces under the maintenance, repair and emergency response services contract at the CPC-K JSC oil pipeline facilities located in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Companies have worked together in this field since 2018. The above contract was extended for 5 years in 2023.  
KazTransOil’s team engaged in the maintenance of CPC Eastern Region facilities and line section has demonstrated a high level of compliance with occupational health and industrial safety requirements. In 2024, no lost-time incidents or recordable MVAs occurred. 
In the spring of 2024, at the time of unprecedented floods in the Atyrau region, KazTransOil’s specialists were able to protect CPC industrial facilities and city infrastructure at a professional level. 
In 2024, CPC and KTO teams successfully implemented a construction and connection project for a new junction pipeline between CPC and Kasymov PS (KTO), thus enhancing reliability and flexibility in the operation of CPC and KTO pipeline systems. 
The project to tie in a new section of the linepipe at 266 km of the main CPC pipeline, at the pipeline intersection with the new Atyrau-Astrakhan motor road section was also implemented successfully.
During the year, KTO team efficiently delivered a full package of maintenance and repair activities for CPC facilities. At the time of scheduled shutdown of the pipeline, the company delivered an upgrade of three sections including replacement of electrical insulation joints, which improved reliability of the pipeline system.
At the meeting, company heads also discussed preparedness of manpower and resources of relevant departments to the 2025 flood season.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
