Another Attempt of a Terrorist Attack on a CPC Facility

The RF Ministry of Defense reported that, on March 24, 2025, at around 2:00 AM, air defense forces fought back against a UAV attack on the trajectory of PS Kropotkin in Krasnodar Krai. The debris of the unmanned aerial vehicle landed in the vicinity of Kavkazskaya rail station.
On February 17, 2025, PS Kropotkin was under a mass terrorist attack by seven UAVs loaded with explosives and shrapnel.
On March 19, 2025, following an instruction of Kyiv authorities, a deliberate attack was undertaken on Kavkazskaya pump station using a number of UAVs. The pump station had been used for transshipment of hydrocarbons into the CPC pipeline system via a junction pipeline, and subsequent lifting of CPC Blend at the Company’s Marine Terminal.
Oil shippers delivered at least 130,000 tons of oil per month via Kavkazskaya station. In 2024, the volume of crude oil injected was approximately 1.51 million tons.
Following the shutdown of PS Kropotkin as a result of the Ukrainian UAV attack, the volume of the estimated annual transportation from the said station was reduced. After the destruction of PS Kavkazskaya, it will not be possible in the foreseeable future. Currently, CPC proceeds with recovery work at PS Kropotkin.
According to the above, the actions of the Ukrainian authorities have a destructive impact on the CPC financials (revenue and dividends), and consequently impact all of its shareholders including the Republic of Kazakhstan and the U.S. companies.
CPC strongly condemns such actions that not only disrupt the fundamentals of global energy security, complicate operations of oil transportation companies and oil produces, but also pose a threat to personnel, contractor representatives, international civil industrial facilities and the environment.
