The writing staff of CPC Press Service employees performed a rather complicated and meticulous work handling the archive documents (combat logs of military units, directives of the People’s Commissariat of Defense and the State Defense Committee etc.), memoirs of eyewitnesses, research papers of present-day historiographers. The materials of the special issue are dedicated to the CPC employees family members who took part in the Great Patriotic War forging the Victory at the front and in the rear.
