CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

CPC held its sixth “Clean River Bank” environmental campaign in Atyrau

MVI_7614.MP4_snapshot_00.02.219.jpgOn June 14, 2025, the “Clean River Bank” environmental campaign took place in Atyrau on the banks of the Ural River. Employees of CPC-K and contracting organizations, as well as their family members and representatives of the regional administration, took part in the improvement of the river bank area. They collected and transported 1.2 tons of waste to the solid domestic waste landfill.
The first “Clean River Bank” campaign was organized by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium in 2020. The campaign gained popularity and is now held on a regular basis.
MVI_7633.MP4_snapshot_00.01.978.jpg“We try to go out with our families once, and, if possible, twice a year, to clean up the surrounding area,” said Viktor Miroshnichenko, CPC-K Chief Engineer, Operations and Maintenance. - We are supported by the teams of KazTransOil JSC and the Atyrau Region Environmental Department. Together, we are cleaning up the coastal area of the Ural River in the area of Almaly, in close vicinity to our oil pipeline. In the first campaign in 2020, 10 tons of waste were collected and transported to the landfill, and last year, three dump trucks were used. The downward trend in the amount of solid domestic waste indicates the educational and awareness-raising benefits of the campaign – every year, people are leaving less and less waste behind.  The campaign is also supported by the families of our employees. Today I came with my mother and daughter. For us, it’s not only an environmental initiative, but also an opportunity to spend a day with loved ones, colleagues and partners, setting a personal example for children in caring for nature”.
MVI_7635.MP4_snapshot_00.01.679.jpgAs in each of the regions where it operates, CPC not only implements social projects and charitable programs on an ongoing basis in the Atyrau Region, but also demonstrates its concern for the environment. Since its inception, the Consortium has consistently developed initiatives aimed at protecting the environment, supporting biodiversity and preserving and restoring rare animal and plant species. In its production activities, the company strictly adheres to environmental standards and implements nature-saving technologies.
For CPC, caring for the environment is not a one-off campaign, but a conscious philosophy. The Company is confident that preserving the natural wealth of the regions and passing it on to future generations is possible only through joint efforts.
