snap111.jpgOn June 19, 2025, a business meeting was held between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Viktor Martynov, Head of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025).
In the course of the meeting the parties discussed new advanced professional training programs for CPC employees and Gubkin University facilities that should be the focus of the Company’s charity efforts.
The leading trade (oil&gas) Russian university celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2025. It has been a partner of the international consortium for the last ten years. In 2015, Gubkin University and CPC signed cooperation agreement that has served as a basis for implementation of a range of extensive projects. Thus, in 2015 three buildings in the university student campus had their roofs renovated. The grand opening of the Big Academic Lecture Hall, repaired and outfitted through CPC funding, took place on March 1, 2018.
Public Lecture Hall of the University underwent overhaul and received state-of-the-art media equipment with CPC support. It welcomed first visitors on February 10, 2020. CPC helped Gubkin University to renovate entrance lobby of the main building in 2022. Now, the entrance lobby looks the way it was conceived by architect Boris Iofan, who designed the university building in 1951. New security and monitoring systems were installed at Gubkin University entrances as part of CPC charity program in 2023. Turnstiles were replaced, and new cameras, metal detectors and heat visors were mounted. Security posts and pass bureau were also refitted.
On March 4, 2025, the Consortium handed over another batch of high-tech media equipment to the Gubkin University.  Large-format LED screen was installed in the hall of the University’s main building. It will be used to display various study information, showcase topical videos covering university life, and so on. New furniture and equipment have been purchased for the Russian Language Department (including language lab, 16 classrooms and conference hall) that provides education to students from 90 countries.
Many graduates of the Gubkin University are working in CPC today. The Company makes extensive use of experience and research coming from this world leading scientific establishment in its business operations.
