On 9 July 2025, a scheduled 12-hour shutdown of the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline covered maintenance of mainline ball valves, power, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, communication and other equipment. Such scheduled shutdowns take place on a regular basis. This time is used to perform work that is possible only on the shut-down equipment of pump stations and oil pipeline.
In the Atyrau Region, two ball valves were replaced, another two were repaired and five were checked for tightness.
In the Astrakhan Oblast and the Republic of Kalmykia, the drive on the pig L/R was replaced, as well as the drives on two drain ball valves. Three mainline ball valves were checked for tightness.
In the Stavropol Krai and the Krasnodar Krai, three repair structures were installed on the mainline. Three obsolete electric drives of block valves were replaced, mainline ball valves were checked for tightness.
Please note that CPC informs in advance all shippers about the time of scheduled shutdowns of the trunk oil pipeline. This information is also taken into account by the RK Energy Ministry when developing an annual oil movement schedule for the Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline. Thus, planned operation is ensured for all participants of the process of oil production and transportation via the CPC oil pipeline.
