An emergency situation occurred at the CPC Marine Terminal during a cargo operation on a tanker through the hoses of the single point mooring of the CPC-2 SPM, as a result of which a certain amount of oil reached the surface of the sea, the volume is being specified. There are no casualties, and there is no risk of fire. The causes of the incident are being established.
The relevant oil spill response plan (OSR) plan has been put into operation promptly, all available forces and means have been deployed in the area, and oil emulsion is being collected. Constant environmental monitoring of the situation is carried out, regular sampling is carried out.
The CPC-2 SPM has been decommissioned indefinitely.
