CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

CPC Management Visits Tengiz Pump Station

111.jpgOn October 9, 2025, Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, and other managers visited the Tengiz Pump Station, as part of their working trip to the Eastern Region operation facilities. The Consortium Management inspected the pump station facilities and equipment and three PS employees were handed out the awards by the Republic of Kazakhstan Ministry of Energy - medals “Мұнай-газ кешенін дамытуға қосқан үлесі үшін” (For contribution to the development of the oil and gas complex).
Ad-hoc reviews of PS and contractor personnel readiness for emergency response were carried out at the pump station and along the pipeline. In addition, during discussions with the pump station employees, separate attention was paid to improving the Safe Work Culture practices and preparing for actions for it to be assessed, not only among CPC-K employees, but also among contractors.
The head Tengiz PS was built in 1989 and is involved in operation of the CPC crude pipeline segment from KP0 to KP130. In the immediate vicinity of the station, there are the TCO terminal and the valve station, from where oil is fed to the Tengiz-Novorossiysk system by the overhead pipeline.2.jpg

Last year the upgrade of lightning protection system and dismantling of the old booster pump house completed at PS Tengiz. This year construction of the crude quality laboratory new building, warehouse building and repair of the firewater storage tank will be completed; diagnostics and industrial safety expert review of drain tanks, construction of the electric boiler house and other works will be carried out.
Upgrade of Data Acquisition, Processing and Control System of Crude Oil Quantity and Quality Measurement Systems (LACT) will be carried out at Tengiz PS.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
