March 2026 is the opening date for applications to participate in the first
stage of the International Contest of Children’s and Youth’s Art - CPC for
Talented Children. In 2026, which has been officially declared the Year of the
Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Contest will be held for the 28th time
under the slogan “Art Unites”. The Contest nominations: “instrumental
performance”, “vocal”, “choir”, “theater”, "choreography", “creative
media”.
Solo
performers and creative teams aged 7 to 17 from the Astrakhan Oblast, Republic
of Kalmykia, Stavropol Krai and Krasnodar Krai are invited to take part in the
Contest. Applications from solo performers and creative teams are accepted at
the site www.ktk-talant.ru
There
are a number of innovations in the 2026 Contest program. The program of
involving comprehensive schools with solo and team participation is launched
for the first time. The “creative media” nomination is expanded to include
documentary, feature and social videos, using modern digital and neural network
technologies. A multi-level system of special prizes is introduced, such as the
“Contribution to Cultural Unity” award, as well as a special prize for teachers
“Recognition” for upbringing and art education of the younger generation, for
contribution to development of children's creativity.

season of the CPC for Talented Children Contest focuses on an interactive
participation of the audience in the fate of favorite performers. A digital
voting procedure is launched for a separate special nomination “Audience
Award”. For this purpose, short lists of the best works will be published.
In
order to enhance the educational level of the festival participants, video
comments of the jury and advices of experts are introduced with examples and
analysis of performance of musical and other works.
By
tradition, the CPC for Talented Children Contest has four stages: the first and
the second ones are on-line rounds, the third is an in-person regional stage
with educational master classes and gala concerts, and the fourth is the
International Uniting Forum "Moscow Meets Friends", which will be
held from 27 November to 1 December 2026 with participation of winners and
laureates from the four regions of Russia and four regions of the Republic of
Kazakhstan. The final gala concert will be staged in the Nadezhda Kadysheva’s
National Theater of Folk Music and Song “Golden Ring”.
After more than a quarter century of
its existence, the CPC festival/contest of children’s and youth’s art has
become one of the most important cultural events uniting the regions and
countries, supporting creative associations and teaching community, creating
new opportunities for development of talents. Year after year, the number of
contest participants grows, thus in 2025 it exceeded 20 thousand.

CPC Crude Oil Pipeline System is one of the major
