CPC Transfers Medical Equipment to a Hospital in the Astrakhan Oblast

IMG_4474.jpgApril 13, 2026 in Astrakhan, a set of high technology medical equipment was handed over to the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital. The equipment was procured under the Caspian Pipeline Consortium Charity program. The handover ceremony timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the medical institution was attended by Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Oblast, Mikhail Grishankov, CPC Deputy General Director for the RF Government Relations and other officials.
A set of medical equipment complete with an ultrasound machine with stress echocardiography and an ergometric bicycle, two endoscopes and two bronchoscopes was procured for the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital.  The high-tech medical equipment helps achieve better diagnostics and promotes early detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
The oldest institution of the Astrakhan Oblast, the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital was opened in 1876 and named after Emperor Alexander II and his daughter, Princess Maria Alexandrovna.  Evacuation hospital #2114 was deployed in the hospital premises during the Great Patriotic war.  In January, 1945 the status of the hospital was changed to ‘regional clinical’. Currently, the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital is a modern multidisciplinary medical organization, part of the ‘1000-bed hospital’ Association.
CPC has been supporting the Aleksandro-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital since 2018. The high technology equipment procured for the hospital by the Consortium includes an angiography X-ray unit, a CT scanner, plasma sterilizers, resuscitation ambulance vehicles, artificial lung ventilation units and other equipment.3.jpg

CPC is cooperating with the Astrakhan Oblast Government under a five-year Cooperation Agreement signed in June 2024. The document covers all socially significant spheres of the region’s life: health care, education, culture, children’s sports, ecology and also provides for targeted aid to the most vulnerable population. Tax proceeds from the Consortium to the consolidated budget of the Astrakhan Oblast totaled over 4.5 billion rubles in 2024.
Almost a 300 km long section of the CPC trunk pipeline crosses the Astrakhan Oblast territory; system pressure is maintained by three pump stations, the Astrakhan PS being the largest one.
