CPC guarantees efficient and environmentally safe movement of crude oil

The Project is designed to increase the trunk pipeline capacity

Drills held at CPC Marine Terminal

On 24 April 2026, firefighting tactical exercises were held at the Tank Farm of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s Marine Terminal. The event, organized jointly by  CPC and the EMERCOM of Russia Main Directorate for the Krasnodar Krai, involved 20 specialists and 7 pieces of equipment.
According to the scenario, the control room of the Kuban Fire Department received a signal indicating that the fire detection system had been triggered at one of the 100,000-cubic-meter oil storage tanks at the CPC Tank Farm. Upon receiving the alarm, the crew of the Tank Farm fire station led by the shift commander arrived at the scene and began reconnaissance. It was determined that the automatic fire suppression system had activated, but the presence of smoke led to the conclusion that the fire was still burning.
The duty officer decided to deploy high-capacity Fishkon fire suppression systems. After deployment was complete, water was supplied to the foam cannon units, and foam concentrate was supplied from the foam concentrate storage warehouse (simulated). The exercise participants also practiced their procedures in response to signals indicating various airborne threats and their cancellation.
During the exercises, representatives of the facility’s fire department and members of the volunteer fire brigade practiced techniques and methods for organizing the management of units during firefighting operations and tested new technical protective equipment for personnel, which is in service with the facility’s fire department. They checked the operational readiness and serviceability of fire protection systems and sources of external fire water supply.
CPC conducts at least 10 major oil spill response and firefighting exercises annually. Large-scale drills are held at CPC on a regular basis and enable an assessment of the readiness of CPC’s pipeline operation units, security services, and the Consortium’s operations and dispatch personnel to handle emergency situations.
