Conclusion of Phase II of the Contest CPC for Talented Children 2026

On 9 June 2026, the second phase of the International Contest of children’s and youth’s art – CPC for Talented Children – came to a close. A total of 5,300 applications were received in the first phase of the contest. The jury then selected the best works to advance to the second round. In the second phase, experts evaluated 2,835 works in six categories.
The largest number of applications came from Krasnodar Krai – 969 works. Stavropol Krai came in second with 731 applications.  Astrakhan Oblast submitted 521 applications, Novorossiysk submitted 432 applications, and the Republic of Kalmykia submitted 182 applications.
Most of the applications were submitted in the “Instrumental performance” category – 1,032 works.  A total of 892 applications were submitted in the “Vocal” category, 577 in the “Theater” category, and 262 in the “Choreography” category. 47 applications were received in the “Choir” category and 25 in the “Media creativity” category.
On 13 June, the jury members began the process of selecting the best contestants. The results of the second phase will be announced and published on the contest’s official website on 10 July 2026.
As part of the second phase, videos from experts addressing issues related to performance skills, artistic interpretation, and professional development in the relevant genres are posted on the competition’s official website. An online professional development course for teachers in the field of continuing education has also been organized. The course consists of 72 academic hours and leads to the issuance of a standard certificate. The course is conducted online and is designed to develop the professional competencies of the teachers participating in the contest.
For the first time in 2026, the CPC for Talented Children contest will include an online "Audience Choice Award" vote in each category. This innovation allows the competition to reach an audience of thousands, thereby increasing the project’s public impact. Following the conclusion of the second phase, the top 50 entries will be selected for publication on the official website on 10 July 2026. Online voting begins on 15 July, and the results will be summarized and published on 21 July 2026. 
At the same time, active preparations are underway for the third phase of the contest, which includes in-person master classes in the regions, as well as large-scale regional gala concerts featuring the best young performers.
