55.jpgJune 24, 2026, Atyrau - the second stage of the Jas Tolqyn (New Wave) Young Talents contest, held in the Republic of Kazakhstan with CPC-K support, came to a close. Following competition results, the jury determined the contest winners who will be representing Kazakhstan in the international CPC to Talented Children contest in Moscow at the end of the year.
This year a total of 1,470 applications were submitted for participation in the first online stage of the contest. 350 participants were selected for the second stage of the competition that took place in Atyrau, June 19-24.
Young talents from Atyrau, Aktuba, Mangystau, Western Kazakhstan, and Kyzylorda oblasts participated in the contest. Kyzylorda oblast joined Jas Tolqyn project for the first time this year. This is an important step forward in expanding contest geography and furthering new opportunities for gifted children from Kazakhstan regions.
Competitors displayed their talents in five nominations: Vocal Singing, Choreography, Instrumental Performance, Traditional Singing, and Social Video. In addition to contest appearances, the event also featured master classes with participation of well-known Kazakh and Russian cultural luminaries and teachers from leading musical and theatrical universities.
‘The Jas Tolqyn contest has been held for the seventh year in a row under the CPC Charity Program’ - noted Kairgeldy Kabyldin, Deputy General Director, Republic of Kazakhstan Government Relations, CPC-K. ‘For us this not just the creative project, but also an important social initiative which helps children to unveil their potential, gain self-confidence, join the ranks of creative professionals, and make first steps towards Big Stage. It is crucially important that this possibility be also granted to talented children from remote settlements in the Western Region. Our main goal is to lay the groundwork for children from any city, town or village; to make it possible for them to receive support, professional skills and a chance for the breakthrough to a new level. This year there were 1,470 applications to the contents, and this demonstrates, yet again, how many talented children are there in regions. First ever participation of Kyzylorda oblast is also a significant milestone for the project. The larger the Jas Tolqyn geography is the more children are presented with a chance to be noticed.’ 44.jpg

Grand Prix in the Choreography nomination was awarded to Altyn Bilezik (the Golden Bracelet) dancing group from Uralsk in Western Kazakhstan oblast. Nailya Bekkul from Atyrau is the winner in the Social Video nomination. The dombrists’ ensemble Turan (Atyrau) topped the Instrumental Performance nomination. Mukhit Ainurly prevailed in the instrumental solo competition, while Sanzhar Askarov is the best in classic instrumentals. Both participants come from Atyrau.
Raiymbek Maksot, hailing from Uralsk in the Western Kazakhstan oblast, won the Grand Prix in the Vocal Singing nomination. Nur Orynbai from Beybaris village (Makhamber District, Atyrau oblast) is the victor in the Desturli En (the Folk Song) category among solo singing performers. Asemai (the Beautiful Moon) ensemble, representing Isataysky District in Atyrau oblast, is declared the winner in the Traditional Singing nomination.
When selecting the winners, the jury assessed the performance skills, showmanship, creativity, artistic ability, and approach to conveying national art features.
The Jas Tolqyn contest provides children and teenagers from regions with possibility to appear on professional stage, receive valuable experience, train with the established masters, and join creative environment.
