CPC Management Inspected Kurmangazy PS, Isatai PS and Atyrau PS On a Working Visit

June 30, 2026, Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director and other management representatives visited Kurmangazy, Isatai and Atyrau pump stations in the Republic of Kazakhstan Atyrau Oblast.
The intermediate Kurmangazy PS and Isatai PS commissioned in 2016 and 2017, respectively, under the Expansion Project are outfitted with electric-motor driven mainline pump units, mud strainers, surge relief systems (SRS), pressure control stations and other equipment.  In 2025, rotors were replaced at mainline pump units of both stations, which has boosted productivity of the PSs.
The Atyrau PS was commissioned back in 1989 as part of the construction of the Tengiz-Grozny oil pipeline and upgraded in 2015 under the Expansion Project. The pump station accepts oil of the Karachaganak and Kashagan fields into the CPC system.  Under the Debottlenecking Program (DBNP), a fifth gas turbine driven mainline pump unit was installed at the PS, and a new pressure control station was built.
As part of the inspection visits, the Consortium management visited main and auxiliary equipment sites and line pipe facilities. PS operating personnel and contractor personnel of each of the three pump stations went through unscheduled inspections that checked preparedness of manpower and equipment to action in case of emergency.
Pump stations Kurmangazy, Isatai and Atyrau hosted meetings of CPC management and working teams. Observation cards were reviewed along with the most efficient leadership practices and suggestions by the pump stations personnel. The progress of meeting individual HSE commitments was also discussed. Special emphasis was given to the development of Safety Culture and active involvement of contractor personnel into the effort.
