The Third Stage of the CPC to Talented Children Contest Ended in the Republic of Kalmykia

20261001.jpgOn September 30, 2026, a gala concert was held in the A. Mandzhiev Kalmyk State Philharmonic Hall to conclude the third in-person regional stage of the International Children's and Youth Art Contest - CPC to Talented Children. The contest celebrated the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia declared in the Russian Federation and CPC’s 30th Anniversary, and featured the slogan ‘The Arts Bring People Together!’

The large-scale event was attended by Erdni Tsarenov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Republic of Kalmykia Government. The concert program, involving 186 children, concluded with an awards ceremony for the winners and honorees of the third regional round of the competition. The participants of the upcoming Unifying Cultural Forum in Moscow to be held on November 30, 2026, were also announced in course of the event.

The young contestants took part in workshops held on September 28-29, on the eve of the gala concert. 228 children enjoyed these workshops. The children improved their skills reciting texts of various genres, studied the types and elements of Russian dance, mastered the means of artistic expression used by singers, and practiced exercises to cultivate the beauty of musical sound.

For nearly 30 years, the CPC for Talented Children contest has served as a launch pad for young talent, inspiring and uniting children, educators, parents, and creative groups from across the country. Every year more than 20 thousand children and teenagers take part in it - schoolchildren and members of vocal and dance ensembles, theater studios, media labs and creative groups. Caspian Pipeline Consortium views its long-standing charitable project as an investment in the future and a contribution to the creative development of the younger generation.

During the first stage, the jury members reviewed 5.3 thousand video submissions from five Russian regions. For the first time, in addition to professional experts, festival participants were also scored by the audience. An online ‘Audience Choice Award’ vote was rolled out in each category. About 2.8 thousand performances across six nominations have advanced to the second round of the contest. Sixty-four second round entries were awarded the Grand Prix.
