SPIEF-2022: CPC and OSK Discussed Cooperation Prospects


On June 16, 2022, on the platform of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2022) General Director of Caspian Pipeline Consortium Nikolay Gorban and Deputy General Director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation David Adamia discussed prospects for cooperation in production of facilities and equipment for offshore oil terminals.

OSK is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. The holding incorporates about 40 design bureaus and specialized research centers, shipyards, ship repair and machine-building enterprises which form the basis for consolidation of the most part of the domestic shipbuilding complex. OSK enterprises operate in all major RF port-transport hubs - from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk, from Murmansk to Astrakhan. The company employs about 95,000 people.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment projects with foreign capital in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export crude, as well as crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM’s) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore, also amid poor weather conditions.
