РП2.jpgOn 18 July 2022, a group of CPC operation and construction projects execution specialists headed by CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban made a working trip to the mountainous segment of the oil pipeline and CPC Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk. The General Director inspected the MT Tank Farm and Shore Facilities, held a meeting with the MT management on various issues of MT operation and Debottlenecking Program (DBN) of the CPC oil pipeline system.

An oil spill response drill was conducted at KP1484 of the trunk oil pipeline located in the mountains. The drill injection was forwarded at 5 a.m. concurrently to two emergency rescue stations (ERS) – Novorossiysk ERS and Krizhanovsky ERS. All in all, 35 specialists and 26 vehicles took part in the drill. The drill participants used the required specialized equipment and fulfilled the set tasks within the prescribed time.

At the Tank Farm, an unscheduled fire drill was conducted involving 30 specialists and 6 vehicles. According to the drill scenario, a signal of “fire” at oil tank VFRT No. 6, 100 thou m3 capacity was received on the fire alarm panel. Fire-fighting crews arrived at the site promptly, deployed a mobile high-capacity system Fischcon, stationary monitors and mounted a foam attack. The performance of the drill participants was found satisfactory in terms of concerted actions to extinguish a conventional fire and high practical skills of employing the specialized equipment.

Within the framework of DBN implementation, the CPC executives checked readiness of the new crude oil quantity and quality measurement system (LACT meter). They were shown the modules of measuring lines Nos. 1 and 2. The modules have been assembled and are ready for hydraulic testing. As for measuring line No. 3, the arrangement of a cast-in-situ site is nearing completion and assembly of the equipment will start shortly.

At the construction site of the control building, the builders reported the completion of reinforced-concrete work and commencement of finishing. Besides, the CPC management were demonstrated the existing pressure control stations Nos. 1 and 2, which have been upgraded under DBN.
