Best Professionals within the Industry are at CPC Marine Terminal

Fanira Akhmetzhyanova, laboratory technician at CPC Marine Terminal, was the first in the nomination of “Chemical Analysis Technician” at the “Best in Profession” International Competition held in early August in Byelorussia.

Five major Eurasian pipeline companies: Transneft, KazTransOil, Ukrtransnafta, Gomeltransneft Druzhba and CPC-R took part in the professional competition. Participants are selected from the best in profession, who are specially trained: they study technical literature and polish their technical skills; thus, competitive spirit runs high. CPC Marine Terminal laboratory technicians competed for the first time in the 11-year history of the event for national pipeline companies.

The first place in the competition awarded to the CPC Marine Terminal employee yet again proves high professionalism of its staff, an important component that ensures reliable and uninterrupted operation of the CPC pipeline system operation. Continuous improvement, enhancement of knowledge and practical skills by the specialists of the Company together with high technical level of the system guarantee to the shippers that use the CPC pipeline to transports their product to the world markets invariably high quality of the services along with strict compliance with the HSE norms and requirements. Also, there have been practically no claims by the shippers against quality of operation of the system during the entire period of operation.

CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km.

CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable. Marine Terminal won a number of the Marine Terminal international awards in the nominations of “Most Technologically Advanced”, “Reliable Partner” and “Stability”.

CPC uses the only in the region Quality Bank, a system of settlements among its shippers on the basis of quality parameters of oil injected in the system and loaded in the tankers at net weight (net of water and impurities). Variation (improvement or decline) of the quality parameters is then expressed in monetary terms, which enables CPC shippers to get full value of their oil.
