Children’s Family Village opened its doors in Atyrau Oblast

20211221-1.jpgConstruction of the Regional Children’s Family Village has been completed in Talgairan (an Atyrau suburb). This new large-scale charity project was implemented with support by Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

On 21 of December, Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CPC Deputy General Director, RoK Government Relations, Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, Akim of Atyrau Oblast, as well as employees and wards of the social institution participated in the opening ceremony.

“Support of the regions of CPC presence is one of priority objectives of our company” - Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, stated at the ceremony. “Today we are opening a new facility of social importance that is needed to cover requirements of children without parental care. This project will undoubtedly have a positive effect on the social climate in the region. Our company invests in social development of Kazakhstan annually; in 2001-2021, the Consortium invested approximately KZT 11 bln in charity projects in Atyrau Oblast. Projects include construction and reconstruction of schools, kindergartens and hospitals”.

20211221-2.jpgThe Regional Children’s Village was built on a picturesque bank of the Ural River. The Village consists of eight double-storey houses. Each of the houses is intended for eight-nine children and their “mother” (as children refer to the carer who is in permanent attendance. Four of the houses are equipped for the needs of children with disabilities.

More than 50 orphaned children and children without parental care moved into the cozy cottages with developed infrastructure recently from Shanyrak, a similar social institution. New tenants aged 3-18 enjoy everything required for education, training, health maintenance and preparation of the children for future life as grown-ups. A sports complex, summer sports field, boiler house, access control point, administrative building, surgery and vaccination room, medication storeroom, psychologist’s center, baths and other facilities are located within the Village area of 3 hectares.

20211221-3.jpg“Our project is unique as there is no other similar facility in Kazakhstan”, stressed Gulsara Botatayeva, Regional Children’s Village Director. - I visited all 16 children’s villages located in each region but none of them are close to what we have here. The new project has everything that regular family children’s villages usually lack. For instance, our cultural and sports center has a dance hall, an assembly hall, sports and fitness facilities. There is a baths complex, playgrounds provided with entertainment and developing equipment. The administrative building houses a co-working center where children can learn professional basics and develop their artistic skills, as well as a self-actualization and social adaptation center. Our spacious and modern conference hall enables on-line education for the children. In a nutshell, our children’s village has all conditions for comfortable living with the conditions as close to those at home as possible and we highly appreciate the support provided by CPC”.

Mass events, competition and training sessions will be organized in the cultural and sports center for entertainment and health care purposes. This is also possible during the cold period of the year. Sewing shop is to provide professional training in dressmaking.

The new Children’s Village was established within the framework of the Agreement of Cooperation between Caspian Pipeline Consortium and the Atyrau Oblast Administration.

“Construction of the Family Children’s Village commenced in December 2019 but commissioning was delayed by a year because of the pandemic - noted Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, the Atyrau Oblast Akim. - Today, a unique project for orphaned children ad children without parental care is implemented with financial support by CPC - Family Children’s Village that provides all conditions for comfortable living. We see that implementation of the construction project gets a keen response from the regional administration, management of the institution and, of course, from the Children’s Village wards”.

Yet another socially important project was initiated in 2021 within the framework of cooperation with the Atyrau Oblast Administration - Youth House intended for the young people leaving orphanages, family children’s villages, as well as boarding schools for orphaned children and children without parental care.
