Meeting between CPC Management and Atyrau Oblast Administration

A business meeting between CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Atyrau Oblast Akim Serik Shapkenov was held on 15 November 2022. The parties discussed the matters of interaction in transportation of hydro carbon resources, the progress of the Debottlenecking Program implementation at the Consortium’s facilities in Atyrau Oblast and CPC charity results in the Region.

As a reminder: 450 km of CPC pipeline system cross the territory of Atyrau Oblast of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and there are four pump stations - Tengiz PS, Atyrau PS, Isatai PS and Kurmangazy PS. In accordance with the contract signed in 2018, the maintenance, repair and emergency response at CPC-K facilities are provided by KazTransOil representatives.

In May 2021, Caspian Pipeline Consortium and Atyrau Oblast Akimat executed another cooperation agreement in respect of implementation of social projects as part of CPC charity program. The parties continued active interaction in supporting education, health care, physical culture and sports, culture, ecology and rendering targeted aid to socially vulnerable population.

In September 2022, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Atyrau Oblast Akim Serik Shapkenov broke ground on the construction of a 900-seat school in the new Talgairan District of Atyrau.

From 2001 to 2021, the Consortium invested approximately 11 Billion Tenge (over 28 million US Dollars) in charity projects in Atyrau Oblast.

The CPC Pipeline System is one of CIS largest energy investment projects that involves foreign capital. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route moves over two thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil along with crude from Russian fields including those in the Caspian region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM), allowing tankers to be loaded safely at significant distance offshore, including in poor weather conditions
