The Republic of Kazakhstan Minister of Energy Had a Meeting with CPC General Director

On March 17, 2025, Almasadam Satkaliyev, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a meeting with CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban in Astana.
Nikolay Gorban, CPC General Director, spoke about the progress of recovery works at PS Kropotkinskaya after the station was attacked by several UAVs on February 17, 2025 and about interfaces with the Consortium shareholders and contractors on repair work issues and their deadlines. 
Company CEO informed the Minister that since the beginning of 2025 CPC has transported 13.5 million tons via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk Pipeline System as of the 11th of March and 118 tankers have been loaded at the Marine Terminal. 
It was also advised that CPC Marine Terminal lifted 63 million tons of oil in 2024. Revenues from oil transportation through the system amounted to $2.3 billion in 2024. $1.3 billion dividends were paid to CPC Shareholders. In 2024, the Republic of Kazakhstan budget received 85 million dollars of tax payments.
The Minister and the General Director discussed the issues of fulfillment by CPC shippers of their obligations (nominations) on crude oil delivery volumes as the factor affecting the financial performance of the international consortium and its shareholders. 
Expecting opening in Atyrau of a new school for 900 children built with charitable funds from CPC, the parties also discussed implementation of social projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

CPC Pipeline System is one of the major projects in energy sector in the CIS. The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk pipeline is 1,511 km. This route transports over two-thirds of all Kazakhstan export oil, and crude from Russian oil fields, including those in the Caspian Region. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with three Single Point Moorings (SPM) that allow to load tankers safely at a significant distance offshore.
