20221116.jpgOn 16 November 2022, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban and Vladimir Shmakov, General Manager, Operations, visited Atyrau PS with inspection. In the course of the visit, the Station equipment was inspected and unscheduled check of personnel and contractors readiness to emergency response within the PS perimeter was conducted.

Summing up the results, the Management noted the reliable operation of the equipment and high professional training of Atyrau PS specialists.

Working meetings with CPC-K Atyrau office staff and at the Station were also held to discuss the urgent issues and the results of the Safety Culture program development. The participants discussed the mechanism of the existing communication channels functioning, filling in the Company-adopted “observation cards” and “strengthening transparency” in discussing and analyzing dangerous actions and conditions among CPC and contractors’ personnel.

Atyrau PS is the second main station downstream in Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system. It provides for transit transportation of crude from Tengiz field and receives oil from other Shippers.

Atyrau PS was upgraded as part of the CPC Expansion Project in 2015: 27 new facilities were put into operation, including two mainline and four booster pumps, surge relief system, three oil meters, two RVSPK-20000 tanks, indoor switchgear.

Activities under the Debottlenecking Program are currently in progress at the Station. A fifth mainline pump is planned to be put into service in December 2022, thus the Station throughput capacity will be increased from 9,000 to over 12,000 cu. m per hour.
