August 29, 2025, in the course of an emergency response operation at the CPC Marine Terminal and in its wake, monitoring of sea water, air and the shoreline was being delivered on an ongoing basis.
CPC Marine Terminal emergency operations center on 30 August 2025 declared the main offshore oil spill response efforts based on the OSR (oil spill response) plan at the CPC marine terminal completed based live sea surface monitoring data.
The CPC marine terminal experienced an emergency during tanker loading from SPM-2 hoses, resulting in some oil the amount of which is being confirmed spilling to the surface of the sea. There are no immediate reports of casualties or injuries. The causes of the incident are investigated.
